Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors seeks a skilled developer to shape the next generation of our portfolio construction platform. You will build modern Angular web experiences with an ASP.NET Core (.NET 10) backend, handling cloud-hosted APIs and responsive UI in a collaborative Agile setting.

The role covers full-stack work across Azure, REST, and real-time features, with emphasis on quality, security, and stakeholder collaboration. Hybrid work and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience building web applications with C#/.NET and a modern single-page application framework, preferably Angular.
• Strong TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS skills.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Strong SQL scripting skills with SQL Server and ORM tools such as EF Core and/or Dapper.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Angular front-end features supported by ASP.NET Core Web APIs.
• Design REST endpoints, background jobs, caching solutions and real-time features.
• Write and optimize data access for SQL Server using EF Core and Dapper.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support cloud deployments on Microsoft Azure.
• Use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining quality, security and sound engineering practices.
• Write tests, review code and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver requirements.
• Collaborate on new feature development and migrate existing desktop functionality to the web.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Your opportunity

You will help shape the next generation of our portfolio construction platform, building modern Angular web experiences supported by a robust ASP.NET Core (.NET 10) backend. You will work across the full stack, from cloud-hosted APIs to responsive user interfaces, in a collaborative Agile environment.

Must have skills

• 3-5 years of experience building web applications with C#/.NET and a modern single-page application framework, preferably Angular.
• Strong TypeScript, HTML and CSS/SCSS skills.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Strong SQL scripting skills, including experience with SQL Server and object-relational mapping tools such as EF Core and/or Dapper.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency with Git and willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools in daily work.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, sound judgement, collaboration and ownership from design through deployment.

Nice to have skills

• Experience using Visual Studio.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, including search indexing or relevance tuning.
• WPF and MVVM experience supporting an existing desktop client during a web transition.
• Experience with .NET MAUI or mobile application development.
• Experience with Astronomer or similar data and workflow orchestration platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Redis or Application Insights.
• Experience using Python.

Compensation information

The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $127,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This position will be open through October 31, 2026.
