Job Description - Intermediate Epic Clinical Stork Analyst
The Epic Information Systems Clinical Intermediate Analyst has a comprehensive understanding of system build and implementation, the ability to analyze and understand business problems, and the knowledge to make solution recommendations that meet the organizational goals of maintaining clinical and business systems.
Primary responsibilities include collaborating with clinicians and end users of the system to design, build, test, train, implement, evaluate, and maintain Epic and other associated systems. The Epic Information Systems Clinical Intermediate Analyst must utilize the knowledge of clinical practice, computer science, and information technology to manage data and determine components that are suitable to build while maintaining alignment with the professional standards of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participates in project, team, departmental, and other meetings, reporting status updates, accomplishments, tasks, and barriers to the manager.
- Designs, builds, and configures within assigned Epic system modules and supporting third-party applications.
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, capturing business and technical requirements.
- Assesses workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows related to new solutions or functionality.
- Develops test scripts and materials for end-to-end workflow testing, performs unit, system, and integration testing, and documents outcomes.
- Remains current on industry trends and vendor/application/system updates, ensuring software modifications/upgrades work according to Epic specifications.
- Follows departmental standards for software configuration control, quality assurance, and version releases, providing documentation and training on system upgrades and new releases.
- Troubleshoots issues or system deficiencies, initiates escalation procedures, and provides recommendations for resolution.
- Participates in multiple cross-functional projects, utilizing project planning and coordination procedures, tools, and lean methodologies.
- Provides guidance and acts as a resource for other analysts, project managers, and consultants.
- Provides on-call support in a 24/7 production systems environment, acting as the primary support contact for the application's end-users.
Qualifications:
- Associate Required
- Epic Certification or ability to complete certification within 3 months of completing classes
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Work with minimal guidance
- Rapid learner
- Knowledge of clinical/technical workflow
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Preferred
- 3+ Work Experience Preferred
- 1-2 years Clinical Analyst experience Preferred
- Epic Stork Certification Preferred, must obtain in first 3 months
Shift: Monday- Friday Full-time 8:00am-5:00pm
