Technology Automation & Management (TeAM), Inc. in Huntsville, AL, seeks an Intermediate Database Administrator for PAE Fires IT Support to oversee enterprise DB operations and coordinate maintenance across applications.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, performance tuning, backups/restores, and enforcing security per DISA STIGs, in collaboration with Cybersecurity, with on-site work at Redstone Arsenal.

Qualifications

• Experience: Microsoft SQL Server administration; database performance tuning, optimization, and indexing; managing database backups, restores, and recovery models; securing databases in accordance with DISA STIGs.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: IAT Level II certification required per DoDM 8140.03.
• Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years of database administration experience.
• Security Clearance: Active SECRET clearance.

• Cross-Functional DB Backup & Security: Ensure backup schedules and data integrity checks align with enterprise backup strategy and manage database-level access controls in coordination with Cybersecurity.

Position Responsibility Summary

• Primary Function - Enterprise DB Operations (PWS 1.16.7.1): Manages enterprise database operations including capacity planning, performance optimization, problem prediction, and maintenance coordination across Financial Management, Logistics, Configuration Management, Program Management, Contracts Management, and Systems Engineering applications.
• Cross-Functional DB Backup & Security (PWS 1.16.8, 1.16.7.3): Cross-trained in Backup and Recovery Management to ensure database backup schedules and data integrity checks align with the enterprise backup strategy, enabling the DBA to execute database-level recovery during contingency events. Cross-trained in application security to manage database-level access controls and privileges in direct coordination with the Cybersecurity team, preventing authorization gaps during application updates.

Travel Requirements: CONUS travel may be required; all travel requires prior written COR approval per JTR/FAR 31.205-46
