Job summary

Stormont-Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Care nurse to provide high-intensity care for acutely ill adults. You will collect and analyze data, develop collaborative care plans, and implement them to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care with compassion, upholding patient rights and safety, mentoring new staff, and participating in ongoing professional development within Stormont Vail’s care model.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other.
• Demonstrates awareness of safety issues in the institution.
• Demonstrates awareness of legal issues in patient care and department functioning.
• Competent in selected psychomotor skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
