Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care (IMC) unit in Maryland. You will deliver evidence-based care to acutely ill adults requiring telemetry and complex treatments.

Comprehensive assessments, IV medication administration, care planning, and coordination with physicians and allied health teams are core duties. You will educate patients and families, support safe transitions of care, and precept as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license to practice in Maryland.
• Experience caring for acutely ill adults in a monitored setting preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of acutely ill adults.
• Administer IV medications and monitor patient responses.
• Develop and implement care plans in coordination with the medical team.
• Coordinate with physicians and allied health staff to ensure safe transitions of care.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-acute care.
• Precept and mentor junior staff where appropriate.
