This is a full-time, contract position where you will be embedded with a partner architectural firm, working on-site at the project office alongside a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and consultants.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, enjoys collaborative project environments, and is energized by the complexity and pace of large-scale aviation projects. While design sensibility is valued, this position is primarily focused on technical execution, documentation, and coordination tasks rather than conceptual design.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at the project site in the Los Angeles area. The timeline of the position is roughly 1-2 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed architectural drawings, technical documentation, and project deliverables using Revit and related software.
  • Coordinate closely with architectural and engineering teams to ensure the accuracy and consistency of construction documents.
  • Support design intent translation into technical solutions and assist with construction administration tasks as needed.
  • Attend project meetings, conduct site visits, and collaborate actively with both internal and partner firm teams.
  • Work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving project environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining high technical quality standards across all phases of the project.

Qualifications Needed:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • 3–6 years of professional architectural experience, ideally with commercial, aviation, or transportation sector projects.
  • Strong technical documentation and detailing skills; proficiency with Revit is required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within large, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction detailing, and coordination practices.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Interest in aviation projects or large-scale infrastructure work highly preferred.

About the Role:

This position is an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded architectural professional to contribute meaningfully to a major aviation project while working as part of an integrated and supportive team. If you are passionate about technical excellence and want to be part of an exciting, fast-moving aviation project, we encourage you to apply. Depending on the experience level the pay may range from $50-55/hr.

If you fit the above description and are looking for an exciting place to apply your talents, please submit your resume, cover letter and work samples shall be compiled in a single PDF (8mb max.) and emailed to info@nwankpadesign.com

  • If available, please include samples of presentation, construction, fabrication, specification documents you were in direct control of creating.
