Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design Leadership: Lead the conceptual and schematic design phases for various projects, ensuring creativity and functionality in design solutions
  • Project Management: Oversee project development from inception to completion, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is achieved
  • Technical Expertise: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documents in compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Team Collaboration: Mentor junior designers and interns, fostering a collaborative environment and providing guidance on design practices and project management
  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to understand their needs, present design proposals, and incorporate feedback into project development
  • Sustainability Focus: Advocate for sustainable design practices and integrate innovative solutions to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents for accuracy and quality, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines

Job description

Our client, an award-winning Architecture firm renowned for design excellence and the integration of sustainable design practices, is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Designer to join their Phoenix studio. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio that showcases innovative and sustainable design solutions. Project types are diverse and include concepts and research across Commercial, Higher Education, Historic Preservation, and Public and Civic sectors. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects that enhance community and environmental standards.

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Position Type: Full-Time
