Job summary

Atlanta Athletic Club is seeking an Interlachen Bar Captain (full-time) to lead floor service, coordinate staff, and ensure exceptional member experiences in a fast-paced club setting in Johns Creek. The role emphasizes service leadership, efficiency, and adherence to club standards.

Responsibilities include staff planning, VIP handling, reservations review, closing reporting, and training support, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more of experience in Food & Beverage.
• Must be able to obtain a City of Johns Creek alcohol pouring permit.

• Provide a communication environment with motivation and teamwork.
• Act as a “Captain of Service” monitoring service quality and pace on the floor.
• Formulate staff side work, floor plan assignments, reservations review, VIP management and service.
• Prepare the closing report with successes and opportunities from the day.
• Inspect dining and storage areas to exceed company standards; submit work orders as needed.
• Assist with training of team members.
• Maintain a high level of member contact on the restaurant floor.
• Identify member needs and respond to concerns.
• Support management in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage all assigned event operations within budgeted guidelines and high standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Interlachen Bar Captain - Full Time

Summary: The Interlachen Bar Captain assists with planning, implementing and maintaining of processes that will enhance the services, procedures, team dynamic and overall member satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club
• Provide a communication environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
• Act as a “Captain of Service” whereby monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and helps out where needed
• Formulate staff side work, floor plan assignments, special preparations, review reservations, callbacks, VIPs, and anything else needed to provide great service
• Prepare the closing report, including successes and opportunities from the day
• Inspect all dining and storage areas on a routine basis and take appropriate steps to ensure facilities exceed company standards at all times. Submit work orders when necessary
• Assist with the training of team members
• Maintain a high level of member contact on the restaurant floor
• Identify member needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
• Support management in compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Manage all assigned event operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
• Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a pleasant personality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pay attention to details
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food and beverages
• Frequent bending and lifting as well as continuous walking and standing
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members and team
