This role involves performing complex interior design assignments with detailed instructions, collaborating with the project team to support various project phases.

Responsibilities:
  • Keep projects or project phases on schedule.
  • Select and specify interior architectural materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and artwork.
  • Develop innovative, practical, aesthetic, safe, and functional design concepts aligned with client goals and budget.
  • Conduct programming activities such as space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings, lighting, and color coordination.
  • Coordinate color and material palettes.
  • Integrate sustainable design solutions into projects.
  • Create conceptual designs and prepare 2D and 3D presentation drawings.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations.
  • Update project documents during schematic and design development phases.
  • Solicit bids and assist in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and material arrangements.
  • Communicate with disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate all project information.
  • Follow HOK standards across projects and processes.
  • Support team members with specific expertise and mentor less experienced staff, including performance evaluations.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviews for professional staff.
  • Promote sustainable work practices to foster a green workplace.
  • Maintain a commitment to excellent client service.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.
