Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Design Coordinator, Interiors in New York, NY to join our team and advance our design excellence across interiors projects.

The role collaborates across disciplines, documents design concepts, and supports the full interior design process from programming to construction administration. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field, has 1 year of internship experience, and is proficient in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture (accredited) or closely related field.
Minimum 1 year of internship in a design firm environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Competent in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Engage with Interiors and Project Leadership to understand plans and processes to achieve project goals.
Contribute to design process, propose solutions, and navigate challenges to achieve design excellence.
Participate in formal and informal design reviews.
Support office environments to promote design excellence and HDR's brand.
Promote HDR in networking environments.
Develop technical knowledge across project phases and documentation.
Encourage sustainable approaches and healthy environments.
Collaborate with team across disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
