Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Validation Engineer to lead rigorous validation for interior trim, seating, and restraints within the Component and System Hardware Validation team. You will manage test plans, data acquisition, and failure analysis from requirements development through report approval, liaising with design and supplier teams to ensure durability and safety targets are met.

You will contribute to DFMEA activities, design fixtures, and schedule validation efforts while working across

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years in test or validation related to interior automotive trims, seats and restraints.
• Experience with failure and root cause analysis.
• Experience with DFMEAs and requirements management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage test plans for mechanical, electrical, and environmental failure modes in interior systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers to define and capture requirements in validation plans.
• Identify test assets, data acquisition systems, and sensors for high-quality data.
• Analyze test data and provide clear reporting of results.
• Support DFMEA and root cause analysis during development, validation, and deployment.
• Design test fixtures to complete testing.
• Manage validation schedules and identify critical path items.
