Job summary

Lakeside Renovation & Design is seeking an experienced Interior Lead Carpenter for residential remodeling projects in the St. Louis area. You will lead a crew of 1–3 carpenters, perform demo, interior framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and more, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety on site.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager, read plans, mentor junior team members, and maintain organized jobsites with reliable transportation and readiness for onsite demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on carpentry or remodeling experience.
• Proven ability to lead a small team in the field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift heavy equipment and materials.
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute many phases of interior carpentry on remodeling projects
• Coordinate daily work based on project schedules and direction from the Project Manager
• Install cabinetry, drywall, shelving, insulation, and interior finishes
• Add interior fixtures and hardware (locks, handles, hinges, closures)
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean jobsite
• Supervise and mentor 1–3 crew members or apprentices
• Communicate daily progress and needs to Project Manager
• Read and work from architectural plans or specifications when required
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Schedule

Monday–Friday, Full-Time (Standard daytime hours, with occasional flexibility based on project needs)

Location

Projects are based in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Daily travel to local jobsites is required.
