Job description

Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD CET Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and visually compelling 2D and 3D layouts using CET Designer software, specifically for [Industry – e.g., commercial interiors, office furniture]. This role requires strong technical skills, an eye for design, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Use CET Designer to create detailed 2D/3D space plans, furniture layouts, and installation drawings
  • Develop designs according to project specs, client requirements, and design standards
  • Generate accurate product specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and order documentation in CET
  • Collaborate with sales, design, and project management teams to ensure design accuracy
  • Create photorealistic renderings and client-facing presentations
  • Maintain and update CET catalogs, pricing data, and product info
  • Stay up-to-date with CET software features and industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards
  • Manage project timelines and meet deadlines
  • Provide CET-related technical support and guidance to teammates

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer with a focus on CET Designer
  • Proficiency in CET Designer, including advanced tools and extensions
  • Solid understanding of design principles, space planning, and furniture systems
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet project deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with other CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit is a plus, and maintaining accurate Revit files.

Nice to Have:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
  • CET Designer certification or similar industry credentials
  • Experience training or mentoring others on CET Designer
  • Direct client-facing experience or regular collaboration with clients
