Qualifications

  • Must meet DoD requirements and take the ASVAB tests.
  • Job training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 7 weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain interior electrical systems for the Army.
  • Inspect and repair power distribution systems and faulty equipment.

Skills

Fundamentals of electricity
Electrical circuit troubleshooting
Safety procedures
Techniques for wiring switches, outlets and junction boxes
Ability to use hand tools

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
