Job summary

The United States Army Reserve is seeking an interior electrician to install and maintain interior electrical systems across Army facilities. You will read blueprints, install panels, test circuits, and repair wiring while following safety procedures.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. The role offers housing and medical benefits, education incentives, and potential enlistment bonuses, with civilian career pathways after service.

Qualifications

• ASVAB score requirements for Electronics (EL) and related roles.
• Interest in electricity, science and math, with ability to use hand tools.
• Willingness to perform physical labor and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install transformers, junction boxes, circuit breakers, service panels, switches, electrical boxes and lightning rods.
• Read blueprints, wire plans and repair orders to determine layouts/repair.
• Test equipment for the operational conduction of circuits.
• Inspect power distribution systems, shorts in wires and faulty equipment.
• Repair and replace faulty wiring and lighting fixtures.
