Job summary

VCBO Architecture is seeking an Interior Designer to join our design team and shape interior environments from concept through project documentation and construction. You will work with architects, interior designers, consultants, and project teams to develop spaces that respond to client needs and align with the architectural vision.

You will contribute to space planning, material selection, detailing, documentation, and coordination while growing your design and technical abilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in interior design principles and ready to develop technical skills.
• Familiar with design and production software; able to learn new tools.
• Able to produce thoughtful, accurate design and documentation work.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Collaborates effectively with project teams and across disciplines.
• Degree in interior design or related field preferred; licensure not required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to interior design efforts from concept through construction.
• Develop design studies, space plans, material/finish selections, details, and docs.
• Translate concepts into functional, well-coordinated interior solutions.
• Coordinate interiors with architects, consultants, and other disciplines.
• Balance design intent with technical and practical considerations.
• Participate in project communications and take ownership of assigned work.
• Incorporate feedback and quality standards into design and documentation.
