Job summary

KPF, a global architecture practice headquartered in New York City, is seeking a Designer in New York City to support their supervisor and project team in developing high-quality design and construction documents.

The role requires interior design drafting, initial renderings, Revit and AutoCAD work, preparation of presentation materials, and collaboration on construction documents, with in-person work at our New York office five days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design.
• 1-2 years of interior design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, D5, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
• Ability to communicate graphically with an eye for detail.
• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written, verbal and overall communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of millwork and FFE documentation is an asset.
• Experience in workplace planning is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of Interior Architecture including design documentation and construction documentation.
• Provide design support for projects, drafting, initial renderings, sketching and Revit drawings and 3D models.
• Assist in preparing presentation materials (physical and digital models).
• Assist in preparing and revising construction documents.
• Produce graphic presentations, renderings and technical drawings.
• Build physical and presentation models.
