Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations and deliver patient-centered care in a community-focused clinic in Albuquerque. The Medical Assistant will work with providers and staff to ensure timely, respectful, and efficient care for patients.

Ideal candidates have completed a Medical Assistant program, with CMA/RMA/CCMA credentials preferred, and BLS/CPR certification. Bilingual English/Spanish and strong communication skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current CMA/RMA/CCMA credential strongly preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and document medical history.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations under provider supervision.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic tests, and maintain accurate records.
  • Support patient education by providing instructions and health information.
  • Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide administrative support as needed, including updating records in the EMR system.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Licenses
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential strongly preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

  • Prior experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or healthcare setting strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
