This is your opportunity to work with a team of dedicated, creative and fun architects and designers on award-winning healthcare projects.

An Interior Designer is an integral member of a project team, working on all phases of projects from planning and conceptual design through construction. While working with supervision from Senior Interior Design staff, responsibilities and duties include active participation in interior architecture and design, creating finish palettes, maintaining finish libraries, rendering visualization, and construction documents.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or similar education or experience.
  • 4+ years of Interior Design experience.
  • NCIDQ or CID accreditation or currently working towards credentials.
  • Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Knowledge of visualization software such as Enscape or Lumion.
  • Knowledge of interior construction, materials, an interest in design, construction administration or design management.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proactive communication style with peers and leaders.
  • Membership in Industry and Networking groups such as IIDA encouraged.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Assists with research, sourcing, price inquiries, and compiling of material finishes, furniture, and lighting.
  • Assists in preparation for client meetings as requested and is responsible for presentation content including production of design models and renderings, with oversight by the Lead or Senior Interior Designer.
  • Primary contributor to the development of construction documents with direction and oversight by Lead or Senior Interior Designer and in collaboration with the architectural team members.
  • Under the direction of a Senior Interior Designer, builds and maintains regional office finish library.
  • Responsible for scheduling product representative presentations.
  • Responsible for quality control of their own work using BIM and other technology tools as well as knowledge and support of Taylor Design office standards as it relates to documentation.
  • Actively participates in continuing education events in the office and attends product representative events to stay abreast of market trends and offerings.

Pay Rate: $65,000 to $101,000/year

Pay Comments: If you are hired at Taylor Design, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience, project complexity, and licensure and/or certifications. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
