This position has a design/technical focus and is part of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership on a project involving a 2.0+ million square foot healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, MN. Under the supervision of a Licensed Architect and project leadership, your primary responsibilities will include:
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist the design team in all project phases, including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
- Support, as directed, with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specification throughout all interior design phases.
- Contribute to the design development and documentation of interior spaces, including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, and finishes.
- Conduct research for product and finish selections; assist in developing finish plans and specifications.
- Familiarize yourself with building and life safety codes and apply them correctly to Interior Design work.
- Help prepare presentation materials and computerized renderings.
- Produce drawings and support functions in line with project constraints.
- Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.
- Assist in selecting or considering building materials such as flooring, wall finishes, ceilings, furnishings, and other interior materials, and maintain the Interior Design library as needed.
- Order samples and materials from vendors.
- Continuously learn, research, and explore the interior design field.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Current NCIDQ certification is preferred.
- Strong creative portfolio, communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Professional business attire for client meetings.
- Willingness to travel as required.
