ABOUT THE ROLE

This position will have a design/technical focus and be a member of our multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership. Under the supervision of a Licensed Architect and project leadership, the primary responsibilities include:

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Assist the design team in all project phases, including Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration.
  • Assist with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection, layout, and specification throughout all phases of interior design work.
  • Contribute to the design development and documentation of interior spaces, including drawings of floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, patterns, elevations, details, and room finishes.
  • Conduct research for product and finish selections; assist in developing finish plans and specifications.
  • Familiarize with building and life safety codes and apply them correctly to Interior Design work.
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials and computerized renderings.
  • Produce drawings and support functions in line with project constraints.
  • Follow CannonDesign drawing standards.
  • Assist in selecting building materials and maintain the Interior Design library as needed.
  • Order samples and materials from vendors.
  • Continuously learn and explore the interior design field.
  • Perform other duties as required.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Current NCIDQ certification preferred.
  • Strong creative portfolio, communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

The salary range for this position in Chicago, IL, is $52,094 to $65,028 annually, with potential bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. For more info on benefits, visit our careers benefits page.
