Job summary

Perkins+Will Miami Studio is seeking an Interior Designer I to support project teams through the design process, developing core technical and creative skills. You will learn from experienced designers and gain exposure to all project phases, contributing to innovative interiors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in interiors, architecture or related discipline is required.
• 1–3+ years of professional interior design experience.
• LEED GA within 6 months of hire is desired.
• NCIDQ preparation encouraged and ongoing professional accreditation valued.

Responsibilities

• Assists throughout the interior design process under routine guidance.
• Begins to understand the architectural design process and integration of interior concepts.
• Prepares contract documents: floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, millwork, furniture layouts, finish plans and schedules.
• Assists in creating presentation materials and client models.
• Learns to manipulate spatial layout, color, light, texture and scale.
• Supports with coordination among partners and consultants.
