Job summary

Hord Coplan Macht, Inc. in Alexandria, VA is seeking an Interior Designer with 3–5 years of interior architectural experience to join our team.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to develop design concepts for multifamily and hospitality projects and produce documentation through construction. The ideal candidate is proficient with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office, and can communicate clearly with clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of interior architectural project experience (multifamily & hospitality preferred).
• Knowledge of construction details, building codes and accessibility standards.
• Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team members, engineers and other consultants for coordination of work.
• Utilizes interior architectural space planning, 3D visualization, materials knowledge to create a design and carry it through to completion.
• Delivers design intent verbally, graphically and in writing to the internal design team.
• Contributes to the production of design documents and development of construction documents.
• Assists in contract administration including review of shop drawings, material submittals and site visits.
• Assists in assembling furniture presentations, specification packages, interior design and finish presentations.

Hord Coplan Macht is currently seeking an Interior Designer who is passionate and thrives in a dynamic team environment. In this job, you will work with a team to address the issues of our clients (style, budget, technical coordination and schedule).

You will join the team creating branded, interior, amenity spaces for top housing developers across the country.

About the Position

• Collaborates with team members, engineers and other consultants for coordination of work.
• Utilizes interior architectural space planning, 3D visualization, knowledge of materials and common building practices to create a design and carry it through to completion alongside our team of experts.
• Delivers design intent, verbally, graphically and in writing to the internal design team.
• Contributes to the production of design documents and detailed development of construction documents during all project phases.
• Assists in Contract Administration including, review of shop drawings, material submittals and site visits during construction.
• Assists in assembling furniture presentations, specification packages, interior design and finish presentations.
• Assists in on-site furniture, art and accessory installations.

• Capability with Revit, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam.
• Work Location: Hybrid, In person 3 days a week (Required).
