Job summary

3877, a Georgetown-based boutique design firm, seeks an interior designer with 2–5 years of hospitality experience. Join a creative, fast-paced studio with beer on tap, bold projects and a supportive team committed to great work.

You will contribute in sessions, meet with clients, develop documents from concept to construction and coordinate with consultants, while mastering Revit and Adobe Suite.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a recognized college in Interior Design or similar.
• A minimum of 2 years full-time experience within the last year in hospitality design.
• Deep understanding of Revit and Adobe Suite.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel), email and internet.
• Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Experience in hospitality design (hotels) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate and collaborate in design sessions.
• Participate in client meetings / presentations.
• Aid in production of project documents from concept design through construction documents.
• Support in completing construction administration (on site and within the office).

INTERIOR DESIGNER

3877 is IMMEDIATELY looking for an interior designer with 2 to 5 years’ experience (ideally in hospitality), a damn good attitude, willingness to teach AND learn, serious motivation and a daily quest to do good work while smiling (the ability to quote comedic films is a plus). We are crazy busy with some incredible projects on the table and even better clients on board. We offer great healthcare benefits, 401k and beer on tap.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Participate and collaborate in design sessions
• Participate in client meetings / presentations
• Aid in production of project documents from concept design through construction documents
• Support in completing construction administration [on site and within the office]
• Participate in marketing endeavors
• Receive and follow through with technical direction
• Coordinate with consultants
• Manage time [your own and your teams] effectively
• Work in concert with the Interior Design team
• Multi-task and establish priorities in a fast-paced environment

Tangible Requirements:

• Diploma from a recognized college in Interior Design or similar.
• A minimum of 2 years full-time experience within the last year in a similar position involving hospitality design
• Deep, philosophical understanding of Revit and Adobe Suite
• Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel), email and internet*;
• Organization/attention to detail; ability to be proactive and take initiative; ability to work independently
• Outstanding communication skills
• Experience in hospitality design (hotels) preferred

At the time of posting our base salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000, annually depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and education, with eligibility to bonuses.
