Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an Interior Designer to lead the design and visualization of interior spaces across multiple project types. Posting locations include Chicago, IL or St.

Louis, MO, with responsibilities spanning programming client needs, space planning, and construction documentation. The role requires a Bachelor's in interior design, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; NCDIQ certification is preferred and SketchUp is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited program.
  • 5+ years of interior design experience.
  • NCDIQ certification is preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining client relationships.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience required.
  • SketchUp experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver interior aspects of projects from programming to construction documentation.
  • Select and present FF&E, color palettes, lighting, and fabrics for spaces.
  • Provide design support and documentation from concept to completion.

Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Interior Designer in the posting locations below. In this role, your job is to combine creativity with technical excellence to deliver inspirationally beautiful interior spaces across a range of project types. You will be responsible for leading design, project administrative documentation and the revision of technical documents, and collaborating with a team of architects and engineers to realize beautiful new places.

Posting Locations: Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO

What You'll Do
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of the interior aspects of a project that include programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
  • Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
  • Provide design support and documentation to communicate design ideas from concept to completion including three-dimensional development, graphic presentation, and construction documents
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design, from an accredited program
  • 5+ years of interior design experience
  • NCDIQ certification, preferred
  • Experience in maintaining client relationships
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience, required
  • Sketch-up experience, desired

Salary Range: $57,000-$85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
