Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Normal, IL is seeking an Interior Designer to lead design and documentation for a range of project types.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, manage project administration, and revise technical documents to deliver inspirational spaces from concept through construction. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in interior design, 5+ years of design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (SketchUp preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of interior design experience.
• NCDIQ certification preferred.
• Experience maintaining client relationships.
• AutoCAD and Revit experience required; SketchUp desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver interior aspects of a project, including programming, space planning, schematic and construction documentation.
• Participate in selection and presentation of FF&E, color palettes and lighting.
• Provide design support and documentation from concept to completion including 3D development and construction documents.

Farnsworth Group is seeking an Interior Designer in the posting locations below. In this role, your job is to combine creativity with technical excellence to deliver inspirationally beautiful interior spaces across a range of project types. You will be responsible for leading design, project administrative documentation and the revision of technical documents, and collaborating with a team of architects and engineers to realize beautiful new places. Posting Locations: Normal, Peoria, Springfield, IL

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the design and delivery of the interior aspects of a project that include programming client needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
• Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
• Provide design support and documentation to communicate design ideas from concept to completion including three-dimensional development, graphic presentation, and construction documents

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's degree in interior design, from an accredited program
• 5+ years of interior design experience
• NCDIQ certification, preferred
• Experience in maintaining client relationships
• AutoCAD and Revit experience, required
• Sketch-up experience, desired

Salary Range: $57,000-$77,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
