Job summary

Aedas Seattle is seeking an Interior Designer (5+ Years of Experience) for the interior design of commercial, institutional, and workplace projects. The right candidate will own interiors from space planning through detailing and construction administration, working within a collaborative studio culture.

Responsibilities include developing narratives, client workshops, site coordination, and supporting marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional interior design or interior architecture experience.
  • Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture; NCIDQ certification, LEED AP, or WELL accreditation are highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines, and sustainable interior standards
  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively contribute to project teams
  • Strong organizational skills and thorough understanding of design and construction processes
  • Advanced knowledge of materials and furniture, with deep connections to the design trade community
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk software, particularly Revit, required
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. Aedas Seattle does not offer visa sponsorship for this position.

This role is tailored for an energetic, autonomous designer with a strong conceptual foundation and a solid technical ability. You will take ownership of interior environments from early space planning and narrative development through detailing, material specification, furniture selection, and construction administration, working within a close-knit, highly collaborative team that values an earnest and vibrant studio culture.

  • Develop strong conceptual design narratives and space plans that align with client goals. Translate project concepts into cohesive interior architectural solutions through diagrams, sketches, and digital visualizations

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture (CIDA-accredited preferred). NCIDQ certification, LEED AP, or WELL accreditation are highly desirable
