Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design calculations for power, lighting, security/fire, and data/telecom systems.
• Coordinate project assignments with engineers, PMs, and management.
• Review drawings from vendors, clients, engineers, and architects and suggest changes.
• Research code issues and liaise with City/State/County officials.
• Document design options and findings for engineers and management.

Your Day Includes

• Performing electrical design calculations for low/medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting, security/fire systems, and data/telecommunications systems.
• Coordinating project assignments with engineers, project managers, and management.
• Reviewing drawings from vendors, clients, engineers, and architects, recommending necessary changes.
• Researching code issues and collaborating with City, State, and County officials.
• Documenting design options and findings for engineers, project managers, and management.

Must Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• FE certification or qualifications to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Four years of experience with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, and building codes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions/instructions.
