Job Overview:
As an Interior Designer, you will provide comprehensive design services to our dealership customers. You'll handle tasks such as site/inventory verification, programming, space planning, color selections, installation drawings, and specifications. You'll work closely with sales, order entry, project management, and installation teams to ensure accurate plans, client satisfaction, and high-quality project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Process
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project goals and present plans for review and approval.
  • Conduct site visits for field measurements and ensure plan adherence.
  • Inventory existing products and create as-built drawings/specifications.
  • Perform in-depth programming, including user interviews and workspace analysis, to develop program reports.
  • Create and present block and space plans, securing customer approval.
  • Select and present color/finish options and finalize with customer consent.
  • Develop working drawings for specifications and installations while validating against construction, electrical, and CD drawing sets.
  • Utilize electronic specification programs to prepare detailed product specifications and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage project changes and revisions as needed.
  • Assist with punch list reviews alongside project managers, lead installers, and customer service representatives (CSRs).

Qualifications:

  1. Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or a related field, or equivalent work experience (minimum of two years).
  1. Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and rendering software.
  • Experience with CET, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or similar design programs.
  1. Design Expertise
  • Proven track record in designing interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new construction).
  • Expertise in layout, color schemes, material selection, custom furniture, and installations.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.
  1. Soft Skills
  • Creative talent, imagination, and an exceptional eye for design.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Solid project management skills.
