Job summary

Barton + Barton Interiors in Del Mar, CA is seeking a full-time, on-site Interior Designer with 3–5 years of experience to join our studio. You will work closely with senior designers and project leads to move projects from concept through construction, contributing hands-on at every stage.

This role offers mentorship within a design + build environment focused on high-end residential and new construction projects, with exposure to FF&E, space planning, and client presentations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional interior design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Select and specify finishes, furniture, lighting and fixtures (FF&E).
• Prepare construction drawings and client presentations.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and vendors.
• Assist with shop drawings and sample reviews.
• Join site visits to track progress against design intent.
• Provide studio support and maintain the materials library.
• Manage client files and project documentation.
• Help track project budgets and schedules across multiple projects.

The Role

We're looking for a full-time, on-site Interior Designer with 3–5 years of experience to join our Del Mar studio. You'll work alongside our senior designers and project leads, helping bring projects from concept through construction — not running jobs solo, but playing a key hands‑on role at every stage. What You'll Do
