Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Interior Designer for a high-volume Colorado portfolio of tenant improvements and commercial office projects. You will collaborate with development, construction, leasing, and property management to deliver space plans, drawings, and revisions across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in commercial interiors, strong drafting skills, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD. This onsite role is in Broomfield, CO with a competitive benefits package.

Job description

A growing commercial real estate company is seeking an Interior Designer to support a high-volume portfolio of tenant improvement and commercial office projects throughout Colorado. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Interior Design, Architecture, or Commercial Space Planning who enjoys fast-paced project work, collaborating with multiple teams, and seeing their designs come to life. You'll work closely with development, construction, leasing, and property management teams while supporting new construction initiatives, tenant build-outs, space modifications, and ongoing design revisions across a large commercial portfolio. This position is best suited for candidates who are passionate about design, drafting, and commercial interiors. Please note that the company does not employ licensed architects, so individuals actively pursuing architectural licensure may not be able to obtain the required work experience hours toward certification while employed here.

Work Environment

• Full-time, fully onsite position in Broomfield, CO
• Collaborative office environment with approximately 10 employees in Colorado and 50+ employees in Maryland

Responsibilities

• Produce architectural drawings, floor plans, and construction documents for commercial office and tenant improvement projects
• Develop space plans and layouts that meet tenant and project requirements
• Support multiple active projects simultaneously while managing shifting priorities
• Assist with ongoing tenant modifications, space reconfigurations, and design revisions
• Coordinate with internal development, construction, leasing, and property management teams
• Participate in planning and design efforts for new building initiatives and future developments
• Help manage growing design demand across more than 200 tenants and a rapidly expanding portfolio
• Communicate effectively with brokers, tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial interiors, tenant improvement (TI), architecture, or commercial space planning
• Proficiency in Revit
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience creating construction documents and space plans

Nice to Have

• Office tenant improvement (TI) project experience
• Experience working directly with brokers and tenants
• Proficiency with Procore
• Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or SolidWorks
• Commercial real estate industry experience
• Exposure to development or property management environments

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Broomfield, CO.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
