Job summary

Bespoke Careers in Austin seeks a Designer II to own sizable portions of residential projects from concept through completion. You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and vendors, and see work through construction drawings to final installations.

We value a can-do attitude, flexibility, and ongoing growth. The role requires 4+ years of residential design experience, strong Revit skills, and the ability to lead presentations and coordinate with team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture required.
  • 4+ years of professional residential design experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD experience expected.
  • Experience presenting to clients and coordinating with vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concept boards, finish palettes, material selections, and detailing with the design team.
  • Create and revise construction drawings, elevations, and specs in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Lead client presentations and communicate project updates and design decisions.
  • Manage vendor communications, procurement, pricing, and sample coordination.
  • Lead site visits and installations; coordinate vendors and consultants.
  • Review and mentor Designer I work; support junior designers’ growth.
  • Assist Project Managers and Directors with scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.

Job description

This is a genuine next-step opportunity for a designer ready to own real project responsibility inside a collaborative, high-performance studio. An award-winning interior design firm in Austin is looking for a Designer II to join its Residential Design Studio, working across every phase of the design process from concept to completion. Reporting to the Director of the Residential Design Studio, you'll take ownership of significant portions of projects, collaborate directly with clients, consultants, and vendors, and see your work through construction drawings all the way to final installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concept boards, finish palettes, material selections, and interior detailing with the design team
  • Create, review, and revise construction drawings, elevations, and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Lead client presentations and communicate directly on project updates and design decisions
  • Manage vendor communication, procurement, pricing, and sample coordination
  • Lead site visits and installations, coordinating vendors and consultants

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 4+ years of professional experience, residential design preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit required; AutoCAD experience expected
  • Lumion and/or Enscape experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and documentation
  • Photoshop or other creative software a plus
