Job description

Position: Interior Design Architect & Studio Assistant
Location: Remote (LATAM preferred - Colombia or Mexico)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor (Indefinite Contract)
About the Role

We are a dynamic, design-focused architectural and interior design studio committed to crafting exceptional and functional spaces that blend creativity with practicality. We are re-initiating our search for a talented Interior Design Architect who can also provide studio-level operational support. This is a key role for someone with a strong architectural foundation, a passion for interior design, and the organizational skills to help streamline a high-performing design practice.

This position is ideal for a mid- to senior-level design professional based in Latin America who can work independently while supporting the studio's evolving needs across multiple projects in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interior Design Focus: Conceptualize and develop innovative interior design solutions that integrate with architectural elements across residential and commercial projects.
  • Feasibility Studies: Support early-stage feasibility efforts; understand zoning, setbacks, and basic regulatory constraints in various U.S. markets.
  • Studio Operations: Assist with organizing and tracking project documentation, managing schedules, and maintaining design workflow systems.
  • Technical Drafting: Produce detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and rendering tools (e.g., Lumion or V-Ray).
  • Material Research & Selection: Identify and recommend materials, furnishings, and finishes aligned with project goals and client expectations.
  • Client & Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • U.S. Market Familiarity: Learn and apply U.S. market standards and practices; flexibility to adapt to a learning curve if needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: 5-10 years of architectural and interior design experience, with relevant U.S. project exposure preferred.
  • Skillset: Strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and ability to support both creative and operational functions.
  • Portfolio: A compelling portfolio that showcases both design excellence and technical precision in interior and architectural projects.
  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and rendering tools like V-Ray or Lumion.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
  • Self-Starter: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing responsibilities without daily oversight.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: based on experience and skill level.
  • Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere in LATAM with flexibility that supports work-life balance.
  • Creative Autonomy: Opportunities to contribute meaningfully to exciting U.S.-based projects.
  • Long-Term Opportunity: Indefinite contract with the possibility of future full-time conversion and salary growth.
  • Supportive Partnership: Ongoing engagement and check-ins from our recruiting team to ensure continued success and support.
