The Design Consultant collaborates closely with customers in the design center/studio, remotely, online, or in their homes to develop personalized design solutions to promote and sell Ethan Allen products and services. Responsibilities include space planning, fabric coordination, product selection, and overall project design. Success is measured by developing tailored designs and meeting sales targets in a flexible, relationship-based selling environment. Some projects may involve teamwork or partnerships. Performance is evaluated based on categories such as teamwork, customer service, communication, decision-making, project development, presentation, and technical skills, along with benchmarks like Monthly Sales, Home Calls, Accent Sales, Softgood Sales, Be-Backs, PI, Close Ratio, and participation in the Ethan Allen Trade Program. Design Consultants should be proficient with social media platforms (blogs, micro-blogs, online forums, content sharing websites, etc.) to promote Ethan Allen’s brand, in accordance with the company's Social Media Policy. Compensation is incentive-based, with total earnings derived from commissions, and requires meeting or exceeding sales and other benchmarks.
