Job summary

KPF in New York City is seeking an Architectural Intern (Interiors) to contribute to design solutions under supervision of senior designers. This in-person role requires campus-ready candidates to be in the NYC office five days a week.

You'll assist with design development, sketching, 3D drawings, and FF&E documentation, while researching interior materials for KPF's libraries. The position offers hands-on learning in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in an interior design program.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, D5, Adobe Suite and MS Office preferred.
• Strong design intuition and sketching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute in a creative and constructive way to the development of the design solution.
• Assist design team in design process through sketching and 3d drawings, model making, and other required tasks.
• Research interior-specific materials for KPF’s physical and digital library.
• Assist with furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) selections and documentation.
• Contribute to team effort through spirit of cooperation with team leaders and peers.
• Follow directions positively and thoroughly.
• Ask questions to ensure that assigned tasks are mutually understood.
