Role Description

This is an on-site internship position for an Interior Designer Intern, located in New York, NY. The intern will assist in space planning, creating and revising construction drawings, writing appraisal reports, designing interiors, and selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). Responsibilities also include collaborating with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders, and contributing to the overall design vision of projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a professional real estate development environment.

This is a paid internship after a 20 day training period. We are only looking for candidates seeking a long term internship, 6 months and longer, due to the heavy investment in training that we provide.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Space Planning and familiarity with Interior Design principles
• Practical knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings
• Understanding of FF&E selection processes and their application in design
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is an advantage
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Attention to detail and a passion for innovative design
