Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Facilities Design Specialist to assist the Interior Designer in preparing and maintaining drawings, space layouts, and furniture selections across campuses. The role emphasizes adherence to Design and Construction Standards and collaborative work with administrators, faculty, and external partners.

You will use AutoCAD and BIM tools, manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure design intent, quality, and on-time delivery while upholding Dallas College policies

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher plus five years of related experience.
• Current and valid Texas driver’s license required.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for interior renovations plans, maintenance of drawing library, and furniture standards.
• Assists with space planning, finish boards, site surveys, and project budget/schedule management.
• Coordinates with administrators, faculty and external contractors to ensure design alignment.
