Interliance Consulting is seeking an organized Interior Design Coordinator/Assistant in Houston, TX to support a luxury residential design team through the full design process. You will manage logistics, FF&E coordination, vendor communications, sourcing, proposals, purchasing support, project documentation, and order tracking to keep projects moving smoothly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of interior design coordination, design project coordination, or residential interior design experience.
  • Experience with residential FF&E vendors & material specifications/selection.
  • Design software knowledge is a plus (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Etc.)
  • Space planning abilities and furniture line knowledge and specifications.
  • Excellent client/customer service and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with creative input.
  • Extremely collaborative and creative.
  • Excellent presentation skills in small/large group settings and/or in virtual conference calls.
  • Able to research, prepare, and present color and material concepts in a tasteful and unique format along with space plans, elevations, and details.
  • Models a highly organized approach to the process resulting in on-time, on-budget deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Logistics: Monitor stock and shipping timelines to prevent delays or shortages. Coordinate freight, receiving, storage, and installation; assist with damaged, missing, or incorrect items; and manage vendor or warehouse claims through resolution.
  • Sourcing & Vendor Coordination: Support product sourcing by gathering specifications, dimensions, trade pricing, vendor quotes, and lead times while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Proposals & Purchasing Support: Prepare client proposals and purchase orders based on leadership needs for the project, coordinate leadership approvals, and ensure order details, pricing, and documentation are accurate.
  • Order Tracking & Expediting: Monitor production schedules, shipping timelines, inventory status, and delivery milestones, proactively communicating updates and potential delays.

Interior Design Coordinator/Assistant | Luxury Residential Interior Design Houston, TX

Are you an organized interior design professional who enjoys keeping the details moving behind the scenes? This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team working on exceptional residential design projects. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the design team and leadership throughout the design process, combining your organization, product knowledge, and coordination skills to deliver polished, thoughtfully executed projects. You will have the opportunity to work across FF&E, product sourcing, proposals, purchasing support, vendor coordination, project documentation, logistics, inventory coordination, and order tracking, making this a great fit for someone who enjoys both the operational sides of interior design.
