Job summary

A boutique interior design firm in Huntington Station is looking for a full-time Interior Design Consultant to join its team. You will be responsible for welcoming customers, identifying their needs, and selling a range of design products and services. The role requires previous sales and design experience, strong sales skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A valid driver’s license is also necessary for travel between the showroom and clients' homes.

Future Opening: Interior Design Consultant

Suite Pieces Interiors is looking for full time design consultants for our showroom in Huntington. Our Interiors department offers a full range of interior design products and services including Hunter Douglas & Graber window treatments, wallpaper, fabrics, custom window treatment fabrication, paint consultations, upholstery, custom furniture & space planning. You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to clients to drive company revenue.

Design consultants must be willing to travel to our Huntington location or client's homes throughout Long Island.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome & identify customer needs
• Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers
• Prospect and contact potential customers
• Conduct customer appointments efficiently and listen to clients needs & wants
• Reach agreed upon sales targets by the deadline
• Enter & process customer orders
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints
• Develop client relationships to build new opportunities while selling ideas, products & services
• Set follow-up appointments to keep customers aware of latest developments
• Create sales material to present to customers

This new revision features an artisan market full of artisans & dealers, known as "The Shops" & talented artists located on the 2nd floor as "The Studios".

In late 2018, Amanda circled back to her dreams and original aspiration of interior design and introduced an American-made custom upholstered furniture line along with in-home design services to Suite Pieces. Amanda’s affinity to home design came full circle when Suite Pieces acquired Aboff’s Design Studios and fully expanded into furniture & home design. Our full-service design studio was born, Suite Pieces Interiors.

Suite Pieces 10,000 sq ft showroom now includes custom window treatments, Graber & Hunter Douglas shades, custom rugs, wallpaper, reupholstery, custom furniture, artwork, accessories, vintage furniture and more for the aspiring designer in everyone!
