Mara Interior Design, LLC is seeking a talented Interior Design Assistant / Interior Designer to join our luxury residential practice in Phoenix. You will work closely with the principal designer on high-end spaces and contribute across design phases from concept to construction documentation.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of experience, strong AutoCAD and technical skills, and a passion for precision, materials, and finishes.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of professional interior design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Dropbox.
• Experience with Studio Designer or similar software preferred.
• Strong understanding of residential construction, materials, finishes, and custom furnishings.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and project deadlines.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with AI and emerging design technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the principal designer on luxury residential design projects.
• Develop and update AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, elevations, and design documentation.
• Assist with design concepts, material selections, and client presentations.
• Source and specify furniture, lighting, textiles, finishes, and custom furnishings.

• Maintain accurate project documentation, specifications, and schedules.
• Assist with coordinating multiple projects at various stages of development.
• Participate in site visits, installations, and project meetings as needed.
