Job Description

Interior Design Associates, a downtown Nashville award-winning interior design firm, is looking for a self-motivated and technically proficient Interior Design Assistant for our Finishes and FF&E group. This will be an hourly, entry-level position with the potential to become a salaried position depending on work performance.

The chosen candidate will work with staff interior designers to:

• Assist with preparation for client presentations by ordering finish and fabric samples, and expediting those orders to ensure timely arrival.
• Create and edit large PowerPoint and PDF files for presentations.
• Communicate with manufacturers and sales reps to request product information.
• Produce and edit CAD drawings, including furniture plans, finish plans, and schedules.
• Select and reselection of FF&E items as needed.
• Assist with FF&E specifications.
• Perform other design-related tasks as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Reside in the United States and authorized to work there.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (version 2020 or higher).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong design skills with finishes, fabrics, and furniture (portfolio required).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented.
