Job summary

SAWA Design Studio LLC in Sarasota, FL is seeking an Interior Architect/Interior Designer to join our team. The role focuses on documentation and coordination with the Principal, requiring Revit experience and a strong design sensibility.

The candidate should bring 5+ years post-graduate experience, relevant education, and the ability to lead a small team while coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients. We offer a competitive salary and a collaborative studio culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in interior architecture/interior design degree required.
• 5+ years of post-graduate progressive experience.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp; 3ds Max is a plus.
• Attention to detail and understanding of construction detailing.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients.
• Able to lead projects and direct a small team.
• Experience delivering furniture packages.
• Understanding of project sequencing.
• Florida project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Principals and Lead Interior Designer on design, material and finish selections, documentation, and management.
• Conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation.
• Collaborate on furniture, fabrics, equipment, lighting and specifications.
• Produce millwork/furniture drawings and details meeting program requirements.
• Develop space planning concepts and program documents.
• Coordinate project teams for finished plans, specs for construction.
• Work with vendors, consultants, fabricators, and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in construction administration and review submittals.
• Assist in managing client expectations and team communication.
• Contribute to office activities and learning programs.
