Job summary

Obumex NV seeks an interior architect to guide clients from initial consultation through development, translating wishes into coherent design concepts that are aesthetically and technically sound within budget. You will engage private clients, architects, and developers, presenting via mood boards, plans, and 3D visualizations, and you will sell designs independently while keeping the project coherent.

After sale, you ensure a smooth handoff to production and follow through with the project

Job description

As an interior architect, you’ll guide clients from the initial consultation through the further development of their project. You’ll listen to their wishes, understand the context in which they live, an - together with our specialists - translate that into a coherent interior design concept that makes sense aesthetically, technically, and within budget.

You actively build relationships with private clients, architects, and developers, and identify opportunities that align with Obumex’s vision. Using presentation materials, mood boards, plans, and 3D visualizations, you make your ideas clear and compelling. You present and sell your designs independently, without losing sight of the project’s overall coherence.

After the sale, you ensure a clear handoff to production and continue to follow up on the project alongside the project manager. You safeguard the original intent of the design and ensure that decisions are carefully translated into execution.

who are
we looking for

• You have a degree in interior architecture, interior design, or architecture.
• You have at least five years of relevant experience in interior architecture or high-end interior design.
• You combine strong spatial and aesthetic insight with technical understanding.
• You are familiar with Vectorworks, SketchUp, rendering software, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• You can independently develop presentation portfolios, mood boards, plans, and 3D visualizations.
• You feel comfortable interacting with a demanding and international clientele.
• You have commercial acumen and naturally build long-term relationships.
• You work in a structured and meticulous manner and maintain a clear overview of complex projects.
• You communicate transparently and collaborate smoothly with designers, technical specialists, and project managers.
• You speak Dutch, French, and English very well.
• Knowledge of Business Central is a plus.
• You are flexible and constantly seek ways to improve your work and the processes around you.
