Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support clients across accounting and finance functions. You will serve in roles such as Accounting Manager, Controller, or Project Manager and manage multiple client stakeholders while delivering essential financial reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 5+ years of related experience, and proficiency with ERP systems like NetSuite, QuickBooks, or SAP. CPA preferred; MS Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; focus preferred
• Five or more years of related accounting experience; public/private/private equity exposure valued
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or SAP is required
• Professional services industry experience preferred
• MS Excel at an advanced level is preferred
• CPA is preferred during qualification stage

Responsibilities

• Functions in roles including Accounting Manager, Controller, or Project Manager for clients
• Manage multiple client stakeholders concurrently
• Prepare miscellaneous accounting reports
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Assist with SEC reporting and due diligence procedures
• Address complex accounting issues and implement new accounting pronouncements (ASC 606/ASC 842)
• Participate in various ad hoc projects

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting clients with various tasks within the accounting and finance functions.

Job Duties:

• Functions in various capacities including Accounting Manager, Controller, or Project Manager for clients
• Demonstrates an ability to manage multiple client stakeholders simultaneously
• Prepares miscellaneous accounting reports
• Participates in various ad hoc projects
• Oversees all aspects of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
• Demonstrates an ability to perform due diligence procedures for clients
• Assists clients with SEC Reporting
• Resolves complex accounting issues, and assist clients with implementation of new accounting pronouncements including ASC606 and ASC842
• Other duties as required

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Accounting, preferred

Experience:

• Five (5) or more years related experience, required
• Experience working with public, private or private equity companies, required
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks or SAP, required
• Professional services industry experience, preferred
• Public Accounting experience, preferred
• Experience with MS Excel at advanced level, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):

• CPA, preferred

Software:

• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook, required

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
