Job summary

Freehold Borough School District is seeking a temporary, as-needed school administrator to provide leadership and supervision in the absence of a building principal or other administrator. The role ensures the safe, orderly operation of the school and requires coordinating with staff, parents, and district leadership in a dynamic educational environment.

Reports To: Superintendent of Schools or Designee. Benefits are not included for this temporary position, with per diem pay per negotiated

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of successful school administrative experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and administrators.
• Knowledge of school safety, student discipline, and emergency procedures.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Criminal history background check required.
• Retired school administrators are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative coverage as assigned.
• Oversees daily school operations and established procedures.
• Supervises students and staff and maintains a safe, orderly environment.
• Addresses student discipline and other school-related concerns.
• Communicates with parents, staff, and District administrators as needed.
• Oversees arrival, dismissal, safety drills, and emergency procedures.
• Implements District policies, regulations, and administrative directives.
• Reports significant incidents or concerns to the appropriate administrator.
• Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
