Job summary

Vanguard University of Southern California is seeking an Interim Resident Director to provide temporary leadership for the residence hall, fostering student development and coordinated programming with Residence Life and Student Development. The role includes crisis response, staff supervision, and collaboration with campus partners.

The position emphasizes a Christian mission alignment, on-campus housing, and ongoing RA training and program oversight for a one-year interim assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of two years' experience with college-age adults, counseling, ministry, or related field
• Openly committed Christian aligned with University mission

Responsibilities

• Maintain community standards through conduct processes and care case management.
• Plan and supervise co-curricular programming for student development.
• Mentor and supervise Resident Assistants and train RA staff.
• Coordinate housing operations, check-in/out, and building information with Housing/Facilities.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in 24-hour on-duty rotation year-round.
• Support Student Care through case management and documentation in Maxient.
