Specialty Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy for an acute care hospital in Nacogdoches, TX. You will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead an inpatient pharmacy team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

The role requires strong leadership, inpatient pharmacy experience, and collaboration with clinicians and hospital leadership to optimize medication management and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Previous Director of Pharmacy or pharmacy leadership experience preferred.
• Recent inpatient acute care hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Experience with Cerner/Siemens preferred.
• Experience with Omnicell preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Director of Pharmacy while fulfilling Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) responsibilities.
• Provide operational leadership and oversee daily pharmacy services.
• Review and verify medication orders while assisting with staffing as needed.
• Coordinate pharmacy in-services and staff education initiatives.
• Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and accreditation readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to optimize medication management and patient care.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies.
