The HealthCare Initiative is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy at its flagship Oklahoma hospital to lead daily pharmacy operations and ensure safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. This role may transition to permanent leadership.

Responsibilities include overseeing staff, policy development, inventory control, and collaboration with physicians and hospital leadership to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Meets all state requirements (including sterile compounding, where required).
  • BL S certification within 14 days of hire or transfer and prior to direct patient care.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications and EMR systems.

  • Ensure safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical services.
  • Lead inventory management and medication distribution processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate pharmacy staff.
  • Provide leadership and support to clinical pharmacists and staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and hospital leadership to improve patient care.
  • Serve as a staff pharmacist as needed to support departmental operations.
  • Promote quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

The organization is currently seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy, but is also open to candidates interested in transitioning into the permanent role.

The Director of Pharmacy provides leadership for the daily operations of the pharmacy department while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. This leader oversees pharmacy operations, develops and implements policies and procedures, manages inventory, mentors pharmacy staff, and supports clinical pharmacists and pharmacy personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
