Job summary

Epic Healthcare is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to provide leadership and stability during a transition in a well-established skilled nursing facility. The Interim DON will oversee clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, support nursing staff, and maintain excellent resident outcomes.

This role requires an active RN license in PA, 3–5 years of leadership in long-term care, and familiarity with CMS regulations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of PA.
• 3–5 years leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• DON or ADON experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, infection control, and QA.
• Ability to lead teams and manage clinical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the nursing department and clinical teams.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations.
• Oversee resident care planning, assessments, and quality measures.
• Manage staffing levels, schedules, and delegation of duties.
• Support survey readiness and corrective action plans as needed.
• Collaborate with Administrator and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of care.
• Promote a positive, respectful work environment.
• Ensure clear communication with residents, families, and staff.
