Job description

Interim Lawyer (Outbound PRC M&A) - Remote Working Opportunity

Our sister brand, Yuzu ALSP, is supporting a company in discussions on an acquisition. The client is urgently seeking a bilingual Chinese/English mid-senior level lawyer with strong cross-border M&A deals experience to work on an interim, on-demand basis via Yuzu ALSP for approximately 2-3 weeks with the potential to extend. This role can be located in either Europe or Asia.

Requirements:

  • England & Wales qualified solicitor preferred, although common law and US-qualified lawyers would also be considered.
  • 5-10 years PQE in cross-border China outbound corporate M&A transactions.
  • Able to interpret, translate into English (and vice versa), and negotiate contracts in simplified Chinese.
  • Must be immediately available.
  • International law firm background preferred.
  • Some in-house legal counsel experience is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Native or fluent Mandarin (written and spoken), and fluent English both necessary.
  • Able to work flexibly across Asia/European time zones.
